Biography of Director
Born in 1956 in Tehran, Masood Karamati is a graduate of Theatre
from the College of Fine Arts. Collaborating with IRIB in various
capacities (including puppeteer in hit TV series, SCHOOL OF THE
MICE), Karamati began his film career as assistant director in CITY
OF THE MICE in 1985. In 1989, he not only started his acting career
in Rassoul Mollagholipour’s MAJNUN, but also directed his
debut feature, PATAL AND SMALL WISHES. Then he made WILD DUCK, four
documentaries from the series, CHILDREN OF IRAN, and some short
films entitled PHONE. He also appeared in Mollagholipour’s
THE REFUGEE (1992) and JOURNEY TO CHAZZABEH (1995). DAY OF THE RESULT
is his latest venture.
